Motherhood
The advice I've heard most often related to motherhood goes something like this: "cherish every moment because it's over before you know it." While well-meaning, this guidance makes me cringe.
Let's be real... every moment of parenthood isn't cherish-able. And the role of a parent changes but never really ends. I don't want to rush through the challenging phases and stages of my kiddos development. And I don't want to miss the joy in the little moments. But I can't live up to this impossible standard.
So, I've set out in search for other counsel. What I find, learn and gather I'll share here as a part of my own reflection and with the hope that it might help others along the way.
I firmly believe that being an intentional momma doesn't have to be complicated.
3 Principles of Intentional Motherhood:

Make memories of the simple moments.
Backyard cookouts. Trips to the library. Family movie nights. Simple fun and easy laughs go a long way.
Show, don't tell.
The way we live will always be more impactful than the lessons we try to teach.
Don't go it alone.
It really does take a village. Surround yourself with support - whether that's childcare or a sounding board for the hard moments. Don't go it alone.
